LSG worked with Fox Architects on the renovation of this 1980 SOM designed office building, located on Pennsylvania Avenue, in the heart of historic Washington, DC. The renovated rooftop provides social spaces for intimate private gatherings, both large and small. It features a new bathroom/kitchenette structure, trellis structures for large and small gatherings, minimalist plantings to reinforce the linearity of the space, and a synthetic lawn space for leisure relaxation.
Due to the prominent location on Pennsylvania Avenue, review was required by National Capital Planning Commission and the Commission of Fine Arts. NCPC and CFA standards were satisfied, and approval achieved.
