Northwest Housing VIII-A, Fairfax - Prepared detailed site design and construction documents for a new student dormitory facility at the main campus. The facility includes two six-story buildings providing housing for 606 undergraduate students; the buildings are sited to create a large landscaped courtyard supporting a variety of outdoor functions.
Hylton Performing Arts Center, Manassas - Completed landscape design for the four-story, 1,100-seat performance hall, a $40 million project that opened in 2010. Selected paving materials, lighting and site furniture and created plaza design and planting plans.
Performing Arts Building, Fairfax - Provided design services for the expansion of the Performing Arts Building to create a new entrance plaza featuring student gathering spaces and new plantings.
RAC (Recreation and Athletic Complex), Fairfax - Created site design for the renovation and expansion of the complex. Participated in site planning and siting of the expanded facilities, including the layout of roads and parking. Provided recommendations for pedestrian circulation, public spaces, landscape plantings, and the selection and placement of site furnishings.
Patriot Lake, Fairfax Campus, Fairfax - Delivered a Master Plan and implementation drawings for the area surrounding Patriot Lake, including a number of alternative schemes showing plantings, walkways and lighting. The final design included plant materials and new walkways, earth berms and light fixtures.
Aquia Lane and Pohick Road Master Plan & Streetscape Improvements, Fairfax - Collaborated on a Master Plan for interior roads to improve their physical condition and eliminate pedestrian and automobile conflict points. This included alternative plan concepts seeking to balance ease of student movement, service requirements, parking needs and future building plans.
