Provided design consultation services to the Tsinghua University Urban Planning and Design Institute for a new Central Business District outside the city of Hu Lu Dao, totaling 1.6 square kilometers.
The first phase encompasses 200,000 square-meters of beach front development and includes a monumental reflecting pool, an interactive water feature, a river overlook, canopied seating areas, outdoor shower area and woodland development. Inspired by Long Wan Plaza’s location at the intersection of the Moon River and the Bohai Bay, the design forms are interpretations of waves embodied by the large granite sea wall that forms the outer edge of the site. LSG’s scope of services included refinements to Tsinghua’s schematic plans, design development and review of construction documents.
